ATD2025 Draft Thread

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version. Click Here for Updates
I've been working on a potential deal since this afternoon but waiting for the GMs to get back at me, this might take a few minutes to a few hours. I apologize.

Philadelphia will select our captain and first center: Steve Yzerman

@tabness

I always want Stevie. I loathe as always the Wings. I have twice given in and all-time drafted him. He should go Bobby Clarke, Frank Nighbor territory imo.

One of the greatest performances us Vancouver Canuck fans all can't forget: Stevie Y on ONE-FRIGGEN LEG! It ignited Detroit to rebound. It was the NHL story of the month, spoken about everywhere, featured in Sports Illustrated, was a key factor in the series.

Scotty Bowman said:
'responsible'... 'whether we needed a tying or winning goal, or an important face off or a shot to be blocked on a penalty kill or any kind of big play, he was generally responsible for it..

(Heralding for the lost earlier generation of the 'net; technology is a short-term benefit but a long-term cost.)

Fellas, I'm posting this here as you are the one crew I think might appreciate my badass find today! Sorry for off topic. Was excited so had to share.

It's about 25 years old and from Roger Edwards Sport Ltd. It's in fantastic shape and made with great quality. Obviously made to look "vintage." Paid like $40, couldn't resist! Ignore my ugly mug lol

sorry for the delay i literally checked in like a few minutes before i was up too lol

was thinking of Yzerman at 33 too but wanted to see if he would be available later, ah well

a few centers I could go with but I will go with a favorite in Henri Richard, C

Coffey and Henri are an incredible skating combo.

Too bad you didn't get Yzerman, but Henri makes for an even more interesting team with your Potvin-Coffey start.

Parr of my point was: desktop PCs were awesome!!!

The mobile Internet generation we are in now has 'simple', 'less detail', 'quick' "options" ... one reads and nods, as if that's a good thing.

Charlie Conacher, RW - Will slot in well with Trottier. A bigger Bossy?

View attachment 973122
A difference being Bossy was upset at scouting and rookie criticism of his "responsibilty", he thereafter committing himself to backchecking.

Conacher grinned when once asked about his play away from the puck: GM Dick Irvin identified him in his autobiography as one of two Leafs who cared more for individual accomplishments than team rewards, targeted as part of the reason why the stacked 1930's Leafs only won one cup.

(Maybe Trotts would swat the Big Bomber on the back of his head to keep him in the game; a dogged-overtly demanding work ethic coach would help.)
