Three Rivers will round out its 3rd line with some more chemistry.

His best offensive season came with Jacques Lemaire centering him and while we don't have Guy Lafleur on the right wing, Mickey MacKay is hardly a slouch offensively, playing a similar offensive style game to Lafleur with his elite skating and ability to generate goals just as well as he scores them. MacKay's defensive brilliance also allows Lemaire to get into the fore-check heavily as he did in real life, and this player time to find holes in the defense.

A 3 time postseason AS and key secondary star on the great Habs dynasty of the mid to late 70's, his offensive output spikes come playoff time so we're happy to add:

Steve Shutt, LW

Steve Shutt... Bowman's whipping boy.

Scotty was a hard-*** with players but most often got angry at Shutt during practice and after games, unsatisfied with his effort or play.

And yet Shutt managed to play for (finishing as a 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 in AS voting) and outlive Bowman in Montreal. Unlike numerous players who were traded by Bowman over the years in Montreal and other stops as head coach. :dunno:
