@nabby12 i didn't mention this yesterday because I was trying to find someone completely random and non-ATD related to message you about it, but I'm actually somewhat involved with the NL curling community, despite having only played once in my life. Mostly as a graphic designer, helping with uniforms, social media assets, digitizing ancient things that people only have one nearly unreadable copy of, stuff like that. Thanks for the message! That's really cool to hear that you're involved with NL curling. I'm sure I'll be back in St. John's next December/January for playdowns if my team sticks together.

I'll be keeping an eye on that then. One of my closest friends is on Team Schuh, and then there are other people kicking around that I know for various reasons. I was hoping to get someone like that to send a completely unexplained "Johnny Engine says hi", but we're apparently still an extra Kevin Bacon away from being able to do that.

Is the following a common problem during sever-stress times like trade-deadline?

My sign-on status is unstable from sub-forum to sub-forum. As a signed-on user, I can paginate to p. 15 in the draft-thread, but any attempt to go to pages 16 & 17 shows me as being signed out. This also occurs in various sub-forums throughout the site. I've tried clearing the cache, changing browsers- no lo hace.

Can I expect that after the trade hullaballoo dies down, the stability of my sign-on status can return to normal?!

The HoH forum has been devoid of quality content for several years. Notice how most old timers rarely post anymore? (A goalie project with only 19 voters!?! ) A regular just wrote that Sanderson, Keon, and Delvecchio were better than Mikita.

Can I ask you guys for a favour? I'm looking for a logo for my collection/social media page and decided to turn to ChatGPT since I really have no experience with graphic design. Please have a look at these two designs and tell me which one you prefer. I've already asked some friends and family members but figure I'd ask here as well. These were AI generated following my instructions but as we all know AI is not without its faults. It doesn't understand every request, and of course has its limits. But I still think it did a decent job overall.

I prefer "The Hockey Library" on the book cover, but then it looks a bit empty up top. So should I stick with the name being up top and a blank book cover instead?

Any feedback appreciated.

I also think by having it there, you encapsulate the contents of what you're offering, which is the wide array of books, all with many different titles, and subjects, at least that's what I'm assuming.

Just my .02 of course. I think it's awesome you are getting legitimate recognition for your collection!

Thanks guys. As a friend just pointed out though, it looks as if the book on the right is missing its spine. Why must AI continue to fail me?

You can always photoshop an old timey hockey picture on the cover so it is less empty.

Problem is I have zero experience with photoshop lol Maybe i'll reach out to a few friends.

Cleaned it up a bit. Removed the white on the top of the puck, and I guess having 3 pucks was kind of redundant lol

The main ones are GIMP and Canva, the former being an open source photoshop alternative, and the latter being a scaled down alternative for beginners and dabblers. I can't really speak to the exact capabilities of either because I use the big guns for everything, but many people use these and get by.
And then hey, if you want anything done to very exact specifications, you can always ask me and we could work something out.
