Richard is not better offensively than Mario Lemieux. He's 4th at best.

He's in a category with Bobby Hull, Jean Beliveau, and Stan Mikita, with arguments for each guy being above the other.

I would throw Jagr, Esposito, and Morenz in with Mikita if we're talking strictly offence from forwards.

Still working on the Morenz bio, but part of it will show that over a 10 year period he statistically dominated the #2 guy in the league to about the same degree as Jagr.

Lafleur is very comparable to Jagr.

You will show me that he dominated the weak competition of a half-league.

Once the leagues consolidated, he was very slightly better offensively than 2 undratfed guys. They were both better overall, but we're talking offense, so he would have a slight edge.

I need to do more research on this, but off the top of my head, I know that passing was first allowed in only certain zones before being allowed everywhere. Which do you think is the proper place to break it up, when it is first allowed at all or when it is first allowed in all zones?
