Did they ever say why Martina didn’t sing the anthem last night?

Just throwing this out there, is it maybe time to shift JT to the wing? We always knew he’d need to be eventually anyways.

what? He’s one of our best face off men and also defensively responsible. Who plays Center if he moves to the wing?

I never heard any reason. I do know she has been doing some acting and had a 3 episode stint in the series Wynnona Earp last season.
Maybe she is filming again

Still trying to find their chemistry. Hard to know how good they really are when they are facing a wall of a goaltender that you guys have. Really entertaining game though. I will definitely look forward to the next one. Both teams will get better as a result of facing each other.
Who is trying to find their chemistry…….Marner and Matthews or Willy and Tavares ?

Fun game to watch but wait for the playoffs before we take anything seriously

Why is this binary? Where were anyone's goals other than the greasy one from Bunting?
Over the course of the 4 games other players have scored…..where are Marner and Tavares goals. Matthews gets a pass from me last night as it’s reasonable to give him a game or 2 to get his timing.
Marner and Matthews should have instant chemistry and so should Tavares and Willy.
I don’t think it’s a chemistry issue. As far as the first line I truly believe that Marner so far cannot handle pressure situations. As far as the second line I think Tavares is further down the slide in ability then some people think.

Matthews literally said that he felt his line had chances but they need to develop better chemistry
What you think is based on literally no facts

Auston Matthews looked good in his return and nice to have him back.

His aim might have been a little off, because once he is in top form again he likely would have potted a few of those chances.

Anyone else surprised the Dermott-Sandin pair only had 11 mins in an OT game?

Meanwhile the 2 worst d on the ice had close to 25... Again.. Keefe has no clue what he's doing

Bunting.. 1 goal, 5 shots, 2 hits.... 12 mins of ice.. f***ing garbage coaching.

The contrast between this game and the Ottawa games is quite something.

They clearly manage canadian vs canadian games to be close and entertaining. Canadian team vs American team? They just flat out put the screws to the Leafs and don't even attempt to hide it.

Really, what were the PP opportunities?

You'd be upset if we played a great game in the 4th game with a full roster?

You think outscoring the opposition by 2 goals over 4 games should somehow translate to a 4-0 record? WTF?

Also, you might want to recheck your math - I'm pretty sure we've actually outscored the opposition by only one goal.

No.

No i think, if only give up 6 or 7 goals, the fact that they have only scored 8 is a problem

I don't see it. He's good at faceoffs, playing the wing isn't going to hide his lack of speed, and he is most effective (sometimes only effective) within 20 feet of the opponent's net.
