yeah I still have doubts Rasmussen can be a Center in the NHL but if he can be a 2c and Mantha can take another step I think the forward group looks pretty solid going forward now even without a Center better than Larkin

the defense is a totally different story unfortunately

He can't play in GR next year, unless he's currently on a loan from Pardubice which I doubt. As a late 1999 he only needs to play 1 year of junior, same as Mantha, Svechnikov etc...

Also not likely. This situation can only occur if the European team loans the player to the CHL. But in this case I don't believe Para did that. As his rights are owned by Halifax from the import draft he has to be in the CHL and can't goto the AHL.

Not the worst. Zadina is super skilled. One of the more low-key needs this team has is a playmaker, and to me Zadina is an underrated playmaker. He's also a very east/west type guy, and I have to think that works well with all the north/south guys Detroit has been collecting.

Had been hearing reports that he was dropping on draft boards but never heard specifics. What was the point of contention? The scouting report in the OP makes him seem slow. Is that Zadina's area of concern?

No.

Current league he is drafted (QMJHL) determines the rule. Being European is a non-factor.
