I hate to say it but the wingbacks Dest and Robinson weren't good enough in this one.

Same goal from the Dutch 3 times. They convert thier chances and play composed. We played well but they did what they had to.

Two American announcers calling a game is an awful listen .
Pulisic had a sure goal early .
We were outclassed - surgical - 3 chances - 3 assripping finishes . Brutal
Going forward - not enough scoring not enough height - not enough quality in the back .
US Soccer also has had a lot of shit go on behind the Scenes . Sunil Guliti ran the program into a hole at the end and some say his replacement is a shitbag pal of his .
Greg Berhalter ? Hard to argue his success but he has detractors .
Also most of better players are players that hold dual citizenship.
That tells you Bergen County NJ and Macon Georgia and Sacramento CA and Houston Texas aren’t producing enough high end elite league high school and college players.
Dest Musa Robinson Periea few others are dual citizens.
This was a nice run - but it’s time to take the next step an attack minded team that can score - with an actual Premiership level striker .
We went into this tournament without a true striker a true CF.
Brian McBride is the last legit scorer I can recall.

Spot on.
This was men against boys. This game was valuable experience for the young guns. You can't be loosey goosey in the back like that and not expect to pay for it. @Fitzy is absolutely correct too. Dest and Robinson were the Achilles heel tonight. Very gifted athletically but not at all technically.
I'd consider going with a 3-5-2 moving forward with Reyna as a false 9. Robinson especially is a much better fit as a wing back than full back.

Also keep in mind the extreme cost to play elite travel soccer in the US.
I’m not talking about travel soccer which can run 2500-4K but there’s another level - where you’re talking double digits.
There are invite travel US teams that run $30k.
Most kids give up soccer in HS.

I know first hand. I declined invites to those teams because the travel and cost wasn't feasible. I played regular travel soccer but you have the house teams from the middle school and high school teams doing something completely different than the club teams.
It was like playing Christian Pulisic at left back when I played left wing/striker putting up the most goals on the team on the club team but was barely playing/playing left back with the school team. These high school coaches that knew nothing about soccer ruined my chance at being even a little bit of something and killed my chance at any kind of scholarship to go and play at a D1 school. I ultimately had a couple of D3 teams that said they'd take me but couldn't promise me starting minutes out of the gate, so I opted for academics instead. Not to say I would have made it all the way to the level where I'd be getting shots on the national team, but I wasn't bad.
The point is that the developmental structure at the youth level sucks. It starts with nurturing talent at an early age and not doing something totally different between club and house teams.

That's my point.
The South Koreans look like toddlers in comparison to Brazil's men.
And its entirely possible Brazil will look like toddlers compared to France if they play.

Man I hope Brazil or even better, Argentina win it all. Would hate to see England or France win, they really have no competition in Europe, most big countries are in a down period.
