Moore is absolute balls. Why can’t Reyna get on the field. Wright stinks too and almost blew the match with the dumbest decision I’ve ever seen at the end there. Could have actually shot on goal, passed across to a teammate, or taken the ball to the corner, instead he softly passes it to the goalkeeper.
have no doubt if that game went another 5 min or so Moore would have botched something and we would have ended up 1-1

This US midfield is crazy young and good tho. Adams is a motor with some great patience.

Inexperience almost did them in. Hopefully Pulisic can recover for the next match against Netherlands

Berhalter odd decisions but he’s through.

That was our first W since june ffs !

We just can’t finish / score goals .

US soccer needs to a better job developing attacking players .

eRan loaded with diving bastards tho they have great hair .

Need more of our boys in EPL or at least competitive Bundesliga, La Liga and even Serie A sides. The tricky bit is that you can’t develop national players if no one wants them, but no league wants players from uncompetitive counties. Maybe Pulisic can change that; Donovan and Howard certainly helped.

This US team has by far the most players who play for a mid tier or higher team in a top 5 European league than any one before it.

It used to be a handful of guys were players at mid tier teams, now we have like 20 of those and guys at Chelsea, Juventus, Sevilla, and wherever Dest is playing now.

It just seemed like many of the players were still in MLS based on what the commentators were saying. Maybe they were just promoting the domestic league, though.

Dest was loaned out to Milan where he hasn't played a ton (they wanted him after Florenzi went down), but I'll tell you that he looked a lot better today than he has in Italy. As a Milanista I've seen all of his games and was worried somewhat about his form. Pleasantly surprised what I saw today.

If you look at the 98 roster that lost to Iran--it's crazy. You had Friedel playing for Liverpool and Keller playing for Leicester. Always the goalies. But then you had Reyna and some guy I don't remember named Chad Deering who played for Wolfsburg. Basically every other player on that team played in MLS, which as previously mentioned was not a great league back in 1998.

It wasn't even that long ago that our guys abroad were primarily playing in second-tier domestic leagues or they were playing in lower-level leagues around the world. Now we have guys at major clubs around the world and almost all of them playing in domestic top divisions. And of course while MLS still isn't on par with the biggest European leagues, it's dramatically better than it was and is a decent place to play.

Pulisic will 100% be playing Saturday. Contusion=bad bruise. It'll hurt lots this morning, even worse tomorrow morning, but should be mostly manageable (but painful) by Saturday, especially after warming up a bit. Guy was crying when US was eliminated from the last WC, no doubt he'll be out there.

I'm over the moon they advanced but if I have one critique of this world cup so far it's that Aaronson and Reyna are being underutilized for their skill set.

I don't think the gap between Weah and Aaronson is very large. It also should be Reyna coming on for McKennie.

I also wonder if Yunus Musah is gonna play himself into a big team transfer this tournament.

Solid 90's Liverpool reference for me to enjoy while I have my coffee.

I would take it to the Oranje … 3 attackers up front … go get a lead .. they are beatable .
Sitting back - playing defense will kill us .
Holland are too good to try and hold scoreless.
It may take 3 to beat them .

I’m hearing he may have, uh, busted a nut.
I was pulling out a bungee chord (metal hook on both edges) the other month, it was wedged under a metal pole. I had been doing manual labor all day building a temporary hut, and was too tired to lift the darned piece of metal to free the chord. So I pulled and pulled and pulled and it finally started to release, I was almost there!!! It finally did release, and the metal hook drove straight into my nut full speed ahead. I passed out from the pain and then had to drag my sorry ass along the floor through my yard, through the dining room and living room, and onto the couch. I refused to call my wife for help out of complete embarrassment. It was a freakin Americas Funniest videos and I deserved it for being so stubborn lol

@will1066 also appreciates my ridiculous stories
