I'm a Habs fan. Tell me more about Justin Barron, he is a A prospect??

I really like him at 2020 draft.

Mini-Nuke literally. Love this move. An analytic gem. Also will be part of our core and insurance with whatever happens to Nuke in offseason. LETS GOOOO.

If Sakic didn't go for it this year, when is he supposed to? It's costly and we'll eventually get sucky hockey to enjoy but at least he's giving the team a good chance to win.

A lot to pay for a a guy who will be a third liner, but he is young and is not a rental, and basically allows you to have 2 Nukes in your middle 6.

This trade makes total sense given the makeup of the Avs forward prospects, the vast majority of which (except Bowers) are offensively-leaning and not that good defensively.

Olausson
Kaut
Ranta
Foudy
Beaucage
Weiss
Buyalski

Those prospects are going to need some insulation and Lehkonen is the PERFECT forward to do it. Extend Nichuskin and Lehkonen to long-term deals this offseason and our middle 6 will be fine for a long time.

Damn. We got a whole new 3rd line in a week.

Burakovsky- Mackinnon- Rantanen
Landeskog- Kadri- Nichushkin
Lehkonen- Sturm- Compher
Cogliano- Newhook- O'Connor

In the stands- Helm, Aubel-Kubel, MacDermid

These trades are killing me a bit.

We're giving up so much for 3rd line forwards and bottom pair defenseman.
It's a steep price, but let me tell you as a habs fan that Lehky is an absolute beauty. He may not be the best scorer or passer, but he will always give his 100%, he'll make your pk that much better and he's a forechecking god. He creates a lot of chaos for the other team's defensive structure, which consequently opens up the play for his line mates. He's also a RFA. IMO he's 100% worth it, you'll love him. He's an easy fan favorite and was well liked in the room.
