How many must the man hit?

Phaneuf? Kovalchuk? Desjardins? Peterson? Fiala? Dubois?

Just in the last two years he has lost 5 former and future first round picks and gotten worse. Durzi for just a second? The Provorov retention deal instead of just waiting one season to buy Cal out at a favorable weight. Two awful side deals necessitated to clear space for the coup de gras, Dubois.

Imagine not only the horroble loss of assets to get them, but the massive contracts given to Fiala and Dubois before ever hitting the ice - just to see them rot out the teams culture in under 15 months.
Fiala is an issue in LA??. Not really interested in Kaliyev, but Fiala on the other hand ...

I don’t think kalyiev fits into Montreals mould of players. He’s a lefty though so he could be a threat in the right side on the PP and probably play 3rd2nd line minutes. Haven’t watched him play much and am only basing this on his shooting abilities and seeing him in junior.

Pezzeta is exactly that. A goon that can skate. He is not the biggest but has a lot of heart, and won't back down from anybody. Can put it in the net sometimes as well, has a shot that can surprise goalies.

Classic energy 4th liner.

I think Pezzeta for Kaliev makes sense then.
If Blake did this, he should be fired immediately. That makes very little sense for LA, Pezzeta is very slightly better than a waiver wire pick up.

not much in montreal that moves the needle for me. maybe xhekaj plus. wouldn't take the rumors of kaliyev is available to heart until a new coach works with him. Todd Mclellan is a buffoon

I think Kaliev will be traded, but not for garbage proposals like that.
I believe there will be a lot of teams with much better proposals.
exactly, kings arent moving him just for the sake of moving him.

Blake should be fired already and never allowed to make another trade for the Kings. But his boss is buddy Luc. We’re screwed unless owners get involved and fire them both.

I think he will be traded and the return will be very underwhelming because Rob Blake blows.

Well sure but YOU are reasonable.

But we are speculating on what dumbass BLAKE will do and I don't think any of this is off the table anymore

Fire the coach first and see what shakes out

Boy don't we wish.

Kid has fallen out of favor in LA. McLellan plays him 8-10 mins/game. He is rumored to be available.

What could Montreal offer that could entice LA? A prospect? A pick (late 2nd? early 3rd?) A vet? A goalie?

Not sure what LA needs, but I certainly could see room in Montreal's top 9 and on the PP for a guy with a wicked wrister like him.

Liked him a lot in his draft year. Looked like an awkward kid, but certainly very skilled. I think he could become a Tippett-like reclamation project for MSL/Hughes.
They say he has attitude. Doubt Hughes will go thete

Sounds like Habsland when BargainBin would pile drive the team into the ground year after year and Habs fan where ready to jump on front of speeding toboggan.

Good thing BargainBin is no longer in hockey. Done, never to be seen anywhere near hockey teams.

Ohhh wait...:scared:

Who is the worst forward roster player you've got? Are they 'truculent?'

If it's a terrible trade for LA, consider it done.

All aboard the S.S. Blake, iceberg dead ahead

I think Kaliyev is worth more, although on the radio yesterday, Friedman did say something about what he thinks the Kings might want for him. I can’t remember the exact words, but the gist was basically bottom-sixer with jam.

How's Pearson's wrist?
Also Blake rage traded him back in the day after a bad game.

4 Goals,
4 Assist
30 games
Feel just icing Kaliyev would be better.

King's need a good goalie, not Allen. Maybe a goon that can skate.

Don't see why they trade Kaliyev. Also don't see why Kaliyev doesn't get ice time.
Icing Kaliyev would definitely be better. The coach is a twit

As a Habs fan, I see what Kings prospects do under different skies and I'm all ears.

If you want Josh Anderson, no take backs.

As a Habs fan I do find it frustrating when opposing fan bases make garbage trade proposals of our players...

What are you looking for for Kalyev? Do you need young D prospects? We have probably 12 that will be NHLers:

Guhle Barron
Hutson Reinbacher
Xhekaj Mailloux
Engstrom Bogdan
Harris Struble
Trudeau Kovacevic

I do not believe that LA need D prospects.

I think Kings reasonably will be interested in those prospects in trade for Kaliev:

Jacob Fowler/ Joshua Roy

Fowler is our future number 1 goalie. Joshua Roy, it depends on how much Habs management like Kaliev.

Kaliev like Kakko was developing into a 40 point forward and of course more expected then fell off dramatically.

Since they haven't established a long enough pattern one has to be concerned if that was a one off season.

Our problem is that players like Beck and Roy are now getting established and we don't know their potential until they start their NHL careers. Chances are very high that we are trading 2 nickels for a dime. Or a quarter for a nickel. We just don't know....

And the other issue is we need top 6 game breakers. We got none in the system and that is our trade priority. That's what the Dach trsde was all aboit and to a lesser extent the Newhook trade.
