There are 2 big fishes left in his pool, Kucherov and Vasy. (i don't count Zaytsev as a bigh fish, sorry Leafs fans.)

There was a story lately, Panarin during his live chat shared that he gifted Kane a watches, as a" thank you for everything" gift. He didn't specify what kind of watches it was or anything. What Milstein did? He went to do an interview immediatley., brought this story up for no reason and started braggin how those watches were priceless("you understand it right"), and how "he was involved in choosing them".. and "it was definetly worth more that $10K because you know...."

Millstein sounds coked out. Am I allowed to say that?

Smart move by Panarin.

I see him and Bob going to Florida in one trade at deadline. Then resigning there long term.

Lots of Russians there and Florida needs a number 1 G and a top scorer. Plus they have cap room.

Ugh. I think he still represents Gusev.

Get away from him, Nikita.

So he's going to Florida.

Who could Florida realistically send back in a package for him and Bob?

Huberdeau + Reimer + 1st + ?

The number of teams that can add ~$20million in salary this off-season has to be pretty low

Interesting wrinkle, but honestly feel this doesnt change much in where panarin prefers to play.

Panarin was going to get paid no matter where he went and he seemingly always wanted to be by an ocean or big city.

Bobrovsky was always the one who was going to have limited suitors given his position, age, contract demands, resume, etc

Panarin could still choose to go somewhere like the rangers and if that's the case, it's obviously not going to be a package deal for various reasons. Bob will have to go his own way.

Panarin has always and still holds all the cards. Joining Bob's agent doesn't really change much IMO. Panarin isn't following Bob unless the place Bob goes as well was always on his list to begin with

For two rentals that don't have many other options for teams if they want to stick together? More like Hoffman and a first for both which wouldn't be bad since Florida would be the frontrunner in free agency for them and they could just flip Hoffman and a first for a top 4 d that they also need if they can grab them in free agency for free.

Wait, maybe it was Millstein's idea to freeze talks in-season, and Panarin and Bob will now negotiate nicely with cbj for an extension right now!

They don't HAVE to be packaged in a trade. Columbus would just send them elsewhere for a MUCH bigger return. That offer is pathetic.

If Panarin goes to Florida, don't they have to get rid of Hoffman?

Not unless they want to flip Hoffman for a defenseman.

Going into 2019 the Panthers will have 21 mil in cap space

Odds are Luongo retires/LTIR and Reimer is bought out/traded.

Those two contracts would/should equal Bob's new deal.

Add in 9-10mil for Panarin, and you got 11-12mil left over for more players/re-signing Hoffman/Dadonov

Because they are really good friends and want to play together while also getting paid? Why wouldn’t they be a package deal?

I think he's implying that if they were a package deal and playing together was so important, why not just stay in Columbus?

As for the CBJ. This changes nothing, and in fact it probably hurts their already non-existent chance of re-signing Panarin.

It seems dumb. Wouldn’t they basically be limiting themselves to Florida? I think NYI is out now because Lehner is probably signing there and I don’t see NYR doing this with their goaltending talent nor Boston

I could def see Panarin and Bob combo meal to Florida. With Brassard, Reimer, Heponiemi and a 1st going back to Columbus, contingent on both players extending with the Panthers long-term.
