I will always have fond memories of his first season here, was a breath of fresh air and more the team was playing loose hockey and Karlsson really took off under it. Hope he replaces Torts at some point over there

Agreed , that one season from him was the most confident ive ever been in Ottawa's coaching, too bad he seemingly changed his entire personality and style over the summer and ended up being someone most wanted gone asap, myself included.

2nd straight game I believe.

Kind of interesting to see him get scratched outright instead of being played as a bottom-six winger. He had a decent little streak of production for a guy playing exclusively in the bottom-six, but seems to have cooled down. You know things have gone off the rails when you're playing behind Rocco Grimaldi and Mathieu Olivier.

You hate to see anyone lose their job, but Babcock can afford it & it looks good on the Leafs firing the suppos-ed best coach in the NHL, owing him a ton of money since he's also the highest paid coach in the NHL. I guess his strategy of speed & skill didn't quite work out on the softest team in the NHL with a crappy defence.

I hope they implode further under Keefe although he has done well with an older veteran AHL team, should be interesting to see how he does with a team that was supposedly built for him. Even that is kind of strange given they had the suppose-ed best coach in the NHL, why would you not build the team for Babcock? There could still be a lot of shit to throw around the Leafs if they continue to lose, especially around the stats guru GM & know-it-all President. Looks good on that whole stinking org.
