It is pretty crazy how Tavares isn't scoring so the rest of the team picks up the slack.

And he scores anyway lol.

Rangers don't have anyone like Tavares. Callahan and some others could take a few pointers from Okposo, he is playing physical and showing up on the scoresheet.

You guys realize these teams aren't very solid defensively and their goaltending is suspect right? Pitt more than NYI in the goaltending department but still, while goals are fun if you can't keep a team from scoring 4 or less it's going to be a hard game to win. I'd rather a goaltender and a defense that can keep the opponents with 3 or less goals a staggering amount of the time than an offense that can score 6 and still lose.

That being said, we need to be able to score 2 at a minimum or the luxury of our D and goaltending is wasted, as it has been for so long.

IF Torts watching this game he should take some serious notes.

Wait, my post gets removed but yours stays?

Islanders have trailed in two games and have clawed back to even it up, winning one game and this game remains to be seen.

Us? One goal is a death sentence.

How about both? We already have one, just need the other.

I'd rather lose 4-3, 5-2, 6-4 so on and so forth as long as both teams get their chances. The only way a 1-0 OT loss is acceptable is when both goaltenders are made to earn that. The Rangers gave Holtby a vacation while making Henrik stand on his head as usual. That's not an exciting or entertaining way to lose a game, and that's my biggest gripe with this team. When they lose, it's rarely exciting, and even when they win. They are a boring team on most nights.

Not to mention, you take a shot at the defense of these two teams, but the first game the Rangers defense didn't look so hot. Remind me again how many shots the Rangers let the Caps put on Henrik yesterday, on top of 20 blocks.

The only part of what you say I agree with is that Henrik is leagues better than either of these two goaltenders and that's all the Rangers have going for them right now. Unfortunately, it's rarely enough.
