How can Pierre get that job, can you imagine his conversation with Mario:
Hello Mario of the Laval Voisons. Do you want me to speak about Sidney Crosby from the Rimouski Oceanic, or Evgeny Malkin of Metallurg Magnitogorsk, or how we should cut ties with Marc-Andre Fluery of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles?

How can Pierre get that job, imagine his conversation with Mario:

Eddie O: good luck Pierre. Just keep your stick on the ice and good things will happen.

Doc: He tries to swap Letang, not unlike Dion Phaneuf from Calgary to the shores of lake ontario, who incidentally turns 31 today, but oooOOOOOOOooooohhhh he would not gooooooo!!!

That would be a great gig for Pierre. Probably could get Joe M. some more cash in the pockets as well.

The "best" team in the eastern conference is going to be playing for the cup, both Pitts and Boston had their chance and both failed. Not sure how anyone could still consider them being better "teams", they might have players with more skill, but that doesn't translate into being the better "team". The Rangers are not getting the kind of respect they deserve around the NHL from the so called experts and fanbases, guess they'll just have to continue earning it. Which I prefer anyway...

There are a lot of stupid (or simply very biased and joining in with the masses) people out there, many of them with microphones and/or television cameras pointed at them. I have been saying this for a long time. CBC, who have decades of experience covering hockey, has given the Rangers little respect. They do it now only because they have no choice when they are 1 of only 2 teams left standing (after the West is decided).
What I state is true. I demand professionalism from media outlets and hockey 'experts' but what I find is that most of them did NOT do their homework, and are now pretending to know about the Rangers.

Very true I find most people just found out about our speed against Montreal and I heard on HNIC radio today that the Kings would dominate us because of their size. And they pointed our guys like MSL and Zucc and being smaller guys tht would be killed. It just proves that they don't watch the games because MSL avoids every hit and Zucc is one our grittiest forward despite his size... I say we just let them keep doubt us and underrated us all the way to the Cup

I don't expect every hockey panel to know every team's strengths and characteristics as well as many who focus on a team by watching umpteen games a season.
What I DO expect them to do, as paid pundits, is pay attention to teams as they progress through the playoff round gates.

I like the Kings, but I like the Hawks more.
Hawks have a beautiful uni, the Kings do not see colour.
The Rangers match up better against the Hawks, IMO.
The Hawks need to win and push this series to 7, regardless.

Go Blackhawks.

I love the Kings jerseys.

But black/white/grey is my favorite combination of colors for clothing so yeah.

The national media has always hated the Rangers because they essentially became the new team of most of the players from the last Canadian dynasty, and they did so by overspending.

Aside from that, their best players are rarely Canadian, and the ones that are Canadian embrace NYC and become New Yorkers.

I'll never forget how CBC turned the 2012 Caps series into a Holtby love story. The Canadian media just pulled the same BS with Tokarski.

I listen to CBC radio, HNIC radio and watch all the sports news outlets. They ignored the Flyers series altogether, only discussed Crosby and Fleury until MSL's mom died in the Pens series, and only talked about Tokarski in the CF.

Whatever. They need to appeal to Canadians, and Canadians generally don't root for the Rangers because they sucked as a franchise for so long and never had a generational Canadian star.

Look at the Rangers best players in the CF: Henrik, Mac, Boyle and Kreider. None are Canadian.

On the Power Play, Scott Laughton (who I liked) said Dan Girardi was "outstanding" in Game 4, when he was clearly the worst of the 6 dmen that game and that's including his great pass on the Brass goal. Of course, he mentioned the OHL and being a Leafs fan

The Kings play ugly but they are so dangerous. But man Chicago looks terrible right now. They left that puck in the slot just sitting there for an eternity while 3 hawks got caught behind the goalie in a stupid play.
I don't know how we're gonna beat L.A. but Chicago is not beating them. And if they do I want to play them.

watching the Kings/Hawk game.
observations.

Kings are getting into the zone too easily
Hawks defense are slow, getting burned by speed, easily pressured by dump and chase.
Hawks defense coverage is pretty bad

Kings are much better skaters
Kings board work looks a bit weak in the O zone.
Kings like to hit.
