You are fooling yourself if you rather face pittsburgh and the refs.

I wouldn't say I am. Playing Columbus would be a nightmare. Their forecheck could absolutely kill us. Pittsburgh is a paper with terrible goaltending and fairly incompetent goaltending. We could easily beat them, especially if our PK keeps performing this well.

Regardless of whether the Pens or Lumbus comes out on top, they are going to be coming off of a long physical series. While Pitt has more top end talent, I would say the BJs would be a tougher matchup because they have better depth. Either way, round 2 will be no walk in the park

I'll prefer to face a team with far less talent than pittsburgh.

We have never beaten them in the playoffs.

As BrianBoyle said, we haven't payed them since Jagr was on the team. Completely different teams.

That said, Columbus definitely has that "Beat the World" attitude right now. They're going to make noise.

Today's game is the reason I was upset with the Rangers sitting back on the lead yesterday. We got away with it but you can easily blow a lead sitting on it like the Pens did today.

Snowblind. I want to know what your reaction would've been if Lundqvist were to give up a goal like that to lose the game in OT.

Columbus was also needed a misplay behind the net to save them from being down 3-1 and heading to pittsburgh

I'm confident that our defense can stop a team with skill like Pittsburgh. Crosby has been fairly quiet in these past two playoff series, and the Rangers have probably the best threesome of shutdown defenseman in the league, plus Hank. I think a physical team like Columbus is more of a threat.

off topic
I just saw Cooke hit on Barrie . Why is this moron still playing ?

I understand disliking Cooke, I really do, and that hit on Barrie was indefensible, but the mountain of hatred being heaped upon him and calls for expulsion from the league seem harsh. He is the epitome of what the NHL disciplinarians were trying to achieve. They punished him severely and he realized he had to change his game and did so. His last supplemental discipline was in March of 2011, thats three years ago. As far as i've been able to tell he has dropped the dirty plays. But hey, maybe im wrong

Fleury seems to always play better against us and Crosby and Malkin would step up their game against us as they always do.

Not like he hasn't given up goals this season. It was somewhat similar to the game winning goal he gave up to Calgary. Hell it was similar to the game winning goal Miller gave up to Chicago last game.

Anyway, people are jumping the gun, we're only up 2-1 in our series.

I don't see why it matters if we play CBJ or the Pens. If we're scared of playing a physical team like the Blue Jackets, then what happens if we end up facing the Bruins in the ECF?

If we beat the Flyers this round, then I'm ready for either team.

People have been talking about the physical Flyers. Outside of the first goal they scored it hasn't been a factor at all.

What has happened when we have faced pittsburgh in the playoffs? MAF seems to not implode versus us and we can't keep up in terms of scoring.

I agree! If we get by the Flyers I would rather play the Jackets. I can't stand playing the penrefs. With our luck fleury plays like a beast and they convert at a high rate on their power play. I have nightmares of malkin one timing shots from the right slot on the powerplay. If we get to second round and jackets beat us then all the power to them. Much easier to digest then losing to the Pens
