Count me among the legions who, 1) believed Dubinsky should have been named captain over Callahan, 2) hated giving up Dubi in the deal for Nash, 3) would still make the deal for Nash and 4) would rather have given up Hagelin in the deal.

With hindsight, yeah, I'd give up Hagelin over Dubinsky every single time. Don't think I would have at the time, though.

I think I would have moved Gaborik at the time and used one of those assets to help bring in Nash.

That wouldn't have helped the situation. Gaborik was a bonafide 40 goal scorer at the time. We were getting Nash to compliment HIM because we needed another elite forward.

Dubinsky was moved because he had one bad year in New York. He's proving opposite of Callahan, a player who elevates his game in the post season.

I always liked Dubinsky more than Callahan, ever since Dubi was playing with Jagr. But I knew once he had a bad season, and Nash was on the horizon, we'd have to give up somebody good to get him. We paid the price with Dubinsky/Anisimov unfortunately.

Fitting to see Dubi score a big goal to tie it in the final seconds after he almost did it making a filthy move in the last game in the final seconds.

dubi has the frame and puck handling to "elevate" his game in the postseason. callahan does not. dubi didnt play well in 2012 though. if he played like this in 2012 hed still be a ranger.

Ditto. Just goes to show that giving up on a good player after one down year is never a good idea.

Dubi was coming off a down year, had a high cap hit, and was the centerpiece that Howson wanted. The deal had to include him. I understood that. But, I have maintained to this day that Dubi was the ONLY piece I regret seeing go in that deal.

Dubinsky had 16 goals, 50 points this year. His career high was 24 goals, 54 points. I think most people are in love with his toughness and heart.

Hahaha ****in right Jackets!!!

What a hard working team. Miss Dubinsky a ton.

Classic MAF. This is why I said the Pens should go all in for Miller.
