In 11-12 McDonagh had a 40 game season under his belt, Del Zotto played insane, you couldn't really ask for more out of Bickel, Woywitka, and Eminger. That was a great season almost everything was going right for us we were getting all the bounces.

Except for the whole, gaborik played with 1 arm thing and playing 5 D in a triple over time game.

I was proud of that team. You hate to lose a game like that but the Rangers had no business even making it interesting against the top-seeded Capitals. Here's a refresher of the lineup they threw out there against Ovie n' Friends.

And that was with Gaborik playing like crap, so yeah...

Plus, it was the year that the team really came together, and they gave us a hell of a ride a season later.

Not sure how fans can't see the team on paper is way better than that grinding squad

I'm pretty excited to see how Kuznetsov does. I don't think he'll immediately make the Caps a juggernaut, but he's got some crazy skill.

I'm basically insane when it comes to following the scoreboard (I lose my mind nightly when these divison teams win, as you see from my posts) but I don't pay attention at all to the WC's. It is VITAL to stay out of the Boston/Pitt matchup and this team is good enough and SHOULD finish top 3 in the Metro. Thats all I'm focused on. Go Leafs.

Rather the Leafs win in OT than the Flyers win in regulation.

VERY worried about Kuznetsov going to Washington for season's end.

As I've said, thats the type of addition that can really spark a team onto a big run. I still fear Washington has the ability to win 9 of 10 at some point. The hate I have for them is so large.

This Modano jersey retirement is pretty damn good. Well done Stars. A lot more lighthearted than the intense-a-thons most of ours were. The only one that was lighthearted was Richter's 10 years ago that I barely remember. Richter was the man, he was really funny. However the others were more intense than funny.
