Yeah, not really fearing the BJs either, or anyone in our division other than the Caps. NJD play our style, but have a worse D and less top end talent. Philly is Philly. Blue Jackets could be the toughest of the three if Bob plays well and the refs swallow their whistles, but they just dont have an intimidating forward collection.

The top 5 teams in the division all have a chink or two in the armor.

The Pens PK hasn't been stellar lately and there may be a fatigue factor from the last two Cup runs.

Bob has been a sieve thus far in his career in the playoffs and the Jackets' center depth is easily the worst of the 5 teams from the division in the playoffs.

The Caps usually see their own shadow in Round 2, and may have a goalie controversy on their hands.

The Flyers goal tending blows and their young defensemen aren't as good as their fans like to hype them up to be.

The Devils are young and inexperienced, and we really don't know how Kinkaid will play in the playoffs.

Crosby's back yard
Ideal East playoff scenarios in my eyes anyway
Boston v NJ - dont care who wins one less obstacle for the Pens
Washington v CBJ - those two can beat each other up
Tampa v Toronto - I really think Toronto match up well against them, should be a good series
This then leaves
Pens v Flyers - best case scenario? These Pens arent the Pens that would be goaded into dumb retaliation penalties and this Flyers team isnt ready yet

I'd like to get home ice, that would be a good thing against any team. Ideally I'd like to play Philly but I'd feel confident against any potential first round foe. Provided we shore things up the final two games. I don't want us backing in.

We swept the flyers this year..struggled against devils. Still rather see devils in playoffs.

Flyers have the potential to make that a "non pens like series" from last two years. No pressure on flyers, huge rivalry..would be the most intense/emotional series weve seen these last two years . And with Murray not being on top of his game yet that could be dangerous.

The Devils..wouldnt be worried like some are. Kinkaid was the reason they were beating us. Not a "backup" anymore.

Caps are the most complete team...
The best goaltending against us has been Kinkaid and Grubauer...would rather not face them...

The Sedins never reacted to Boston's thuggery, I'm not sure what series you watched.
You clearly did not watch that series at all then. They were getting punched in the face and then just disappeared and then they finally tried to snap and it was more adorable/comical at best.

IF we play to our abilities we should beat any of those teams. The question is which Pens team shows up.

Watch how fast Tampa and Boston play, and how crisp they are with their passes. Watch how precise they are in transition. They've both been playing like this the majority of the season. These are two teams who AREN'T backing in.

Check tampas board the past few weeks. They were worse than people on here. And their team was playing worse as well.

They picked it up tonight..finally.

Grubauer played one really good game against the Pens. He hardly proved he could win a series. And the Caps aren't as deep as they were the last 2 years.

As for Kinkaid, in the last two games against the Devils he gave up 3 and 4 goals respectively. He was hardly a brick wall in those games.

Honestly, any scenario where we have a wildcard is not fun or wanted. Having to play Washington/Bruins and then Columbus/Devils or Lightning/Toronto is the hardest road to the Stanley Cup.

Obviously would like some hard teams taking out other difficult teams for us.

Patrick with back to back goals on the pp. 4-3 Isles

Philly loves going to OT, so expect a point at least.

It’s so difficult to know what exactly is happening/will happen. Would like to stay away from the Devils and play Philly/Columbus first. But all that while keeping the second seed.

I don’t know whether to root for the Flyers to win or root against them since the Devils are winning.

Most of those teams probably don't want to face the Penguins either. Do you really think the Caps would want to play the Penguins in Round 1?

Def not. But with the way this team has played on the road all year, I would feel better as a Caps fan than a Penguins fan.

Why can't the Penguins take care of this bottom feeders like the rest of the division has? Just have to laugh. Going to end up with the 2nd WC at this rate.

PHI-NYI tied at 4 now. CBJ pulled to within one goal.

The Jackets really do need to win this game though. If they end up losing in regulation and Florida wins, they could be in trouble for the last 2 games against the Pens and Preds.
