Glad we are not on Tavares list tbh. Sure it would be awesome to have Crosby, Malkin, Tavares, Brassard down the middle but I wanna fix the D more to suit the Pens style of play, plus Tavares will get 11-12M AAV and if I'm spending that on someone it's Karlsson or Doughty.

Rutherford would need to create room so he could offer him a one-year deal. That would be a deal that would be in the best interest of both sides. Anyways, I don't want to get into it too much (because it should be kept in the roster thread), but that's my thought on him signing here.
