He'd be an absolutely perfect fit between Okposo and Girgensons. Big boost to the PK too.

If Buffalo had signed him for 3 years, $2mil AAV, my reaction would've been: good player, kinda big contract, but eh...fine. And that's twice the salary for 3x the term.

I don’t understand his role at all, maybe as the 13th forward, and that is debatable. He cannot be a normal center, especially 4C. This is weird.

I would've as well but unfortunately NJ is a legit cup contender while we are still in the middle of the longest playoff drought in NHL history. Money isn't always everything.

Yeah. We'll have to see. The amount of money they're paying him tells me he'll play plenty of games. If he falters, Granato wont have an issue benching him. He looked solid for a while, then slowed down, but I believe he was battling an injury to end the year. Can anyone confirm?

That being said, adding a 4th line center was something I was hoping Adams would do. It wasn't as high on my priority list as fixing the defense, which I was pleasantly surprised he went out and got players for the 2nd and 3rd pairings.

There's still time, though, so maybe he'll make a move. At least we have a ton of young talent who could make the jump to the NHL.

He was the single forward acquisition which made the most sense to me, all offseason.

Would have been the perfect pivot between Girg/KO.

I hope it doesn't mean that they see Krebs playing that role. Krebs should be #3C & Mitts should be on one of the top two lines, imo.

he’s a UFA and can choose where to sign. I’m sure Adams reached out. Likely offered him the Jost slot.
