It would be great if the Sharks could do us a solid here.
Not really crazy. It's how the NHL designed the 1-point for OT losses to work. It artificially keeps teams bundled together in the middle of the standings to help keep interest (thus tickets sold) for as many as possible. It's kinda crazy how the only real teams out of the playoff hunt in the east are columbus and montreal. Every other team could still make it with some sustained good play.
I hear Putin is not well.
Obligatory sarcasm emoji.
It's his father who was hospitalized due to heart issues.
All the best to him but then again I really cannot be sincere when it comes to our eastern neighbours...
I leave it at that on this matter.
He is also getting back to reality, declaring Tuesday after his second full practice with the Canucks that media conjecture that he wants out of Vancouver is categorically false.
“It was a little frustrating for me,” Demko said of speculation fueled by reports that other NHL teams have called the Canucks asking about the 27-year-old's availability ahead of the March 3 trade deadline. “I'm not even here to defend myself. I'm out on the sidelines and start seeing that stuff popping up, but it's not true. I'll just say that point blank.
“I've seen a few things floating around but I've never said that, not even to my wife or anyone close to my circle. I have no idea where that started.”
Elsewhere, Meier just scored a very Meier goal - going hard to the net. Someone's getting a gem.
You could potentially also do Power with Sammy. They've also performed very well together as a pairing, in fact I think for the analytics people they've been one of Buffalo's best pairings when they do play together. Sample size etc etc.The other thought was him with Power to give Power someone with some shooting confidence to play off his innate ability to create 5-on-5 opportunities. But Sammy on his own pair and keeping two sets of guys with their primary handedness is certainly more in keeping with present trends.

If they get Chychrun I wont complain about it because he is a good player. Get more good players please. That said, he feels redundant to me. If we didn't have Dahlin and Power as the top 4 offensive Dmen teams need to man both powerplay units and be able to push when you need a goal, then Chychrun would make sense, but the law of diminishing returns makes me feel like we will not get the full potential out of all 3, even though we will be paying for it.Yep. Same with Power-Dahlin though that seems like it should be a circumstance dictated pair that is only when pressing for a goal.
I'm in same boat... I rather we not get him but it sure would be nice to have his shot from the point. If they get Chychrun I wont complain about it because he is a good player. As far as fit? There is no question in my mind that he would be with Power as it makes a true 2-way balanced #1 pairing, vs Sammy and Dahlin that are a true defensive/offensive pairing.
The Ducks are swimming in defense prospects and one of them decides he is going to test his luck in free agency:
Decent size and mobility. Productive at the NCAA level, but not sure that he'll be much of a point-getter in the NHL. Reminds me a bit of Ruhwedel........
Won't be upset if we sign him to compete with Johnson for NHL/AHL time next year.
Whats going on with Bally and Diamond sports bankruptcy?
The own the TV rights to 42 teams including 12 NHL teams.
