Sounds like a good place to trade Joker. He already knows the system
Well played.
Let’s go! Hope panthers win it all. Either then or oilers
Wife is on her way back from a Vegas weekend with her bestie. She called me last night asking who she should bet to win the Cup. I told her Florida. I would like to see Florida over anyone else in the East (plus it's virtually guaranteed they make the ECF) and I can't decide who will win VGK-EDM series. I forgot how much she placed on it - maybe $50?

an explanation, even a brief one, of WHY nobody checked the guy.
How do you propose a color man can determine that? Could a coach explain that? Could another player? I'm just curious who you think could climb inside the head of Lafferty when he let him go inside the blueline and determine what he was thinking/supposed to/didn't do. Same with Brodie behind the net.

Not really.. he's dead on. The fact the Leafs let Sampson lolly gag into the zone slow as molasses and then let him waltz behind the net unmolested isn't the fault of Rupp. That should be a relatively easy rush to defend and the Leafs just folded
I never understood how the leaf fans were so high on that team's chances. They don't really have any piece of the winning formula of norris-selke-vezina. No surprise that both the D blew the coverage, and the goalie didn't look great on that play.

I don't blame Woll on that play as there's no way he was expecting Reinhart to pop out front so quickly. He looked like he was expecting the puck to go up to the halfwall

Lafferty, who is supposed to be all about hard play, is more interested in giving ground so they can all be at the blueline than just stepping into Reinhart just outside the line. McCabe (supposedly physical) lets him go by. Kampf and Kerfoot are supposedly good defensive players... neither one takes a step to hit him either. It was the most pre-season looking intensity from a playoff team I've seen in a while.

Because I thought it was Steve Dangle that was complaining about how nobody had played the body against Reinhardt. I could be wrong, though.

Anyone watching that play should be complaining about the Leaves not putting a body on him.

IDK. McCabe was in no man's land playing Lundell on the other side of the ice. That was his partner's responsibility, IMO.

Then it's Brodie being a doof. McCabe is certainly late back to the net front at the end of it, something we were used to seeing in Buffalo.

It looked like a set play ( he didn't think or hesitate, quick like practiced , and he went out to the middle not even stopping at the corner) and he ( stevy) ,was , spot on. two d reacted way later than a top ahl goalie/kid as if it wasn't Overtime, down 2 games to zero , on life support if they lose moment..
one d should be sat or cut for not reacting at all...

Yes, it was all on Brodie. He just watched Sam the whole way. McCabe had to play the Lundell pass but missed.

On Topic: The goalies in this Edmonton-Vegas game have to defend their crease better.
