Around the NHL: PTO Season Becomes Waiver Season

They'd probably still be playing if they'd kept up the rotation between him and Swayman

And Montgomery differed to Essensa for the decision on the starts - is it on Ullmark for saying he could play in a sport where gutting through injury is stitched into the very fabric of putting on the skates, is it on the positional coach for knowing his 1A isn't able to be the guy, or is it on the HC for not making the move earlier?

To be fair, Murray and Botterill were both highly thought of in the NHL offices heirarchy as up and comers. Unfortunately neither panned out. Some here espouse Pegula hired Adams as a low budget option not thinking that they felt burnt by trusting the opinions of outsiders.

I can tell you this from first hand knowledge. I even posted about it after the Sabres hired Tim Murray.

Tom Mitchell was an owner of the Binghamton Senators. He is very accessible to the public. Right after the Sabres hired Murray I asked Tom Mitchell what he thought about Murray and I told him I was a Sabres fan. He laughed and said, “good luck”. It was obvious he was not a fan of Tim Murray.

This is one of the better hockey stories I've seen recently. I noticed these two at the game last night and apparently they really hate the Leafs.

2-0 from Jarvis.

Devils haven't bothered showing up yet. Ruff will need to rail into them at the intermission.

1 shot allowed all period.

Canes are elite at shutting it down. Sabres need to watch some of their tape because they put on a masterclass so often

Devils actually had a decent shift to start the period but Siegenthaler losing his bucket leads to a third goal against and a goalie change.

Vegas is so damn deep. You could take any one individual forward out of the lineup and it would probably make no difference, exception being maybe Stone.

What a great play by Draisaitl. To get out of that period only down 1 is a huge boost for the Oilers.
