I’m just gonna pretend this our Montour still.

In hindsight, should we have just let Lindy stay here forever? Would he really have been worse than the collection of clowns we’ve had since?
it was the right choice to move on;
on the other hand I wonder about the Pegulas wrong choices again and again until Adams.

In retrospect it was a mistake to not assume Ralph killed every player he had. That third for Montour is…not ideal

i mean he sucked under Phil too…but still. Come on
is this some kind of bizzaro appreciation of Phil Housley?
I mean people have kinks, but come on.

To be fair, Murray and Botterill were both highly thought of in the NHL offices heirarchy as up and comers. Unfortunately neither panned out. Some here espouse Pegula hired Adams as a low budget option not thinking that they felt burnt by trusting the opinions of outsiders.
The Pegulas made it pretty clear that after listening to the NHL home office when it came to hiring both Murray and Botterill and them not working out, that they made the conscious choice to not ask for their help when hiring Adams and going with the candidate that they were more comfortable working with moving forward.

Adams has done a better job so far in a variety of areas than I expected when he was first hired. The lack of experience and the reasoning of the hire were red flags for me at the time. But, I am happy with what he has done to date and I hope that Adams and Granato have at least 2 or 3 more seasons together.

They'd probably still be playing if they'd kept up the rotation between him and Swayman
The big question that Ullmark dodged was how badly was he hurt at the end. A lot of people watched his play in that series and felt that he was too injured to play effectively.
