That was wonderful to watch

Well, when you put it like that, it’s not so bad….because Edmonton actually had a 4-1 lead late in the second period
Did they? I guess I lost count in the order of the goals. That’s what happens when you watch the game with one eye and try to surf the net with the other.

Ok, it’s uber brutal to have a three goal lead and then give up the next four to lose a playoff game.

Also, of all the bad Ken Holland has done, his Darnell Nurse contract negotiation may only be topped by the Jack Campbell deal. Unfathomable that that man has the 5th highest cap hit among defensemen in the entire league.

What an epic meltdown. Against Van's terrible goalie, they put up one SOG during the VAN comeback. Seven SOG through two periods.

But as epic as the meltdown was, it's not a good sign for VAN that they needed a miracle comeback to win game 1 at home. That's probably not happening again.

McDavid was also terrible. That's probably not happening again either unless he's hurt.

Draisaitl might be hurt at well. They kept talking about it on last night's broadcast. He left the bench for a while and when he came back, he was noticeably disengaged.

Just wanted to add in that Edmonton failed to register a single shot on goal for 22 straight minutes while Vancouver was mounting its comeback.

I got a lot of amusement watching the same fanbase that tried to spin that contract as a good thing spend most of last night collectively moaning and groaning about how awful Nurse is. Took them a while but they got there.

Cramps and equipment issues.

Don't ask me how his equipment causes injuries but maybe we should look into it. Maybe that's our problem too.
