vegas completely falls apart without karlsson

Which is why I don't buy the whole "they'll just make another move and keep it going," narrative. There are several players they simply cannot afford to lose, and a few of those are getting up there in years with no replacement in sight.

That was 60 min clinic on how12 forwards can back check as a team. Suffocating back checking by every cane forward.

A lesson I hope everyone learns ... that team defense isn't just about the 6 guys on the blueline. If the forwards aren't committed, it doesn't matter what you have back there.

A friend convinced me to go to this game. I have footage of Freddie being handed the cup somewhere, but man did I get emotional watching this happen in real time. Wasn't even particularly rooting for this result, but watching the cup get awarded has been so special. Still watching them celebrate as I post this.

once again, no Stanley cup winner has no player making more than 10mil. something i hope our guys are seeing.
Those are remnants of the old covid cap days. Those days are gone. I'm sure Leo will be north of $10M and Cutter may be right around it. Time will tell.

IMO, the bigger issue now would be to not give too many players top dollar deals. At some point in time, two $7M guys are better for the roster than one $14M guy. The leafs already proved that.

And once again those cor players were signed with a much lower CAP in place. Hard to compare.

Our core player contracts will also look cheap in 5 years.
