That’s brave of you to say on here :sarcasm:

I’m with ya though. My gfs a Devils fan so I watch & go to their games a good amount. He’s definitely been fun to watch and see progress since his poor first season.

I still believe in Kakko, but boy, do I wish we had Hughes. Laf-Hughes would be such a killer LW-C combo for years with Laf progressing

I bet Avalanche fans don’t mind when their leaders do this, sticking up for teammates.

I love seeing this. I wish we had more of this with the Rangers skilled forwards.

I'm the polar opposite here. Why should Dumba have to drop em for laying out an opponent with a clean hit? I have no problem with players defending a teammate if they take a check to the head or get driven into the boards from behind, but any time a clean bodycheck is thrown, we get this nonsense. This is another section of the hockey "code" that needs to removed from the game. If the refs were competent, MacKinnon would've got 5 & a game for instigating.

Additionally, If Rantanaan were to challenge Dumba later in the game, I'd be more in favor of that...but I still don't think Dumba or any player in that situation should be forced to fight after a clean body check. The instigator penalty was added to the rule book for a reason...time they started enforcing it.

I agree. I hate fighting after a check unless the player gets hurt or a hit to the head. If it is a clean hit then no. they only seem to enforce the instigator rule when the gloves come off first or if you skate out of your way to fight the opponent. I think MacKinnon should have gotten 5 and game, Dumba 5 for fighting. Refs miss these all the time.

Honorary New York Ranger Mats Zuccarello on pace to beat his all time point high in assists alone. 3 against last night.

He is about to break the Minnesota Wild Assist per season record (50) set by Pierre-Marc Bouchard in 2007/2008 Minnesota Wild @ NHL - Single Season Records

Brian Boyle with 6 SOG and a goal against Detroit. I think that is a new SOG record for him? Cementing himself as the most dangerous Penguin with 2 more SOG than any other player.

A necessary but expected win versus Buffalo. a win is a win. Next up Pittsburgh, if we win that game we're looking at a possible 9 out of 10 wins, before that next Pittsburgh game. I know I'm looking into the future but if we do that we should be in first place. Just saying.

He is the only one. i wish we had more of that in other players that are our leaders in the top 6. one reason before our depth I wanted Goodrow in the top 6 and now I hope he never gets 4th line minutes again.

I get what you’re saying but why would we want Fox, Mika or Panarin taking the shots MacK has taken all year? I’m sure the Avs management would rather him on the ice. We have more than enough grit. Laf will probably take up Kreider’s mantle in a few years when he’s filled out.

If you didn't know better you'd think NJD and Montreal are two good teams. It's been a good game.
2 shitty teams making each other look better than they are? lol. I watched that OT with my Devils fan gf because I made her watch the Rongos-Sorbos with me earlier. I root for the Devils to pick up as many points as possible down the stretch sick of them drafting top 5 every year.

Buffalo is probably one of the worst places to live in the NE.
The only time I was ever in Buffalo it was for a concert.

The place was completely deserted, it looked like a movie set. The only people we saw were when we were stopped at a light. A dude in a pickup truck pulled up next to us blasting the radio edit of Lil Jon's "Get Low," while a dude with a mullet and fanny pack wearing booty shorts rollerbladed across the street at the crosswalk.

So that's Buffalo for me, forever.

Who are we pulling for between Carolina and Washington? Don't want the 3 point game obviously but beyond that are we rooting for Washington to lose to further ensure the Rangers don't fall to the wild card or are we rooting for Carolina to lose to keep hopes of 1st in the division alive?

Personally I root for the scenario that keeps the Rangers in control: Washington to lose.
