Price completely fell asleep on that one even if the reverse got f***ed up.

Tampa played about as bad as they can play and Montreal played as well as they could have. This one isn't going beyond 5.
Yeah Tampa might give them a game so they can win it on home ice. What a terrible finals.

The Habs self destructed with 3 crap goals against. Not sure if they can play much better offensively, but they can avoid giving up cheap goals. The kids look alright but it's too early for them to carry the entire team. Too many of the vets look anemic and frozen on the big stage.

Thank baby Jesus that Tampa knocked out the Isles.

Fishsticks would gave clobbered le habs.
Agreed. Islanders have a better d and I think better forwards than montreal. Better coach as well. Slight nod to Price over the Islander duo. The Canadiens have a tough top 4 defensive corp but man they have zero ability to create offense especially when they are trailing.

it's so f***ing hard to tell what would happen anymore. Montreal didn't have many high scoring chances but they did play one hell of a game that I wouldn't have expected from them. Triumph of the human spirit type of an affair. Who knows how the Islanders would have fared. They have as much belief and effort as anyone, especially if they had slain the dragon in Tampa in game 7 after their game 6 comeback.

I don't even know who their Panarin/Zibenjad/Kreider are.

This series is over. Very unevenly matched series. Tampa just got handed the cup on a silver platter before this series even started. Tampa did not even play well, and their superstars did not even hit the score-sheet , yet they still scored 3 goals. I could see Tampa going up 3-0, toy with Montreal in game 4 , take a loss, and then win it in Game 5 so they can lift the cup in Tampa.

maybe its an easy matchup for Tampa (easier than Colorado or Vegas would have been) but Tampa had a hard road to the final, they had to beat 3 really good teams to get there.

Honestly, the Kings Rangers final was not close either. Despite all the one goal games, the ice seemed tilted towards the Rangers' end the entire series.

the Kings were huge, heavy on the puck, brutal on the boards and crashed the net. A few sharp shooters too. They were loaded.

I don't necessarily disagree but Game 2 was winnable - Henrik and the non-goalie interference call and I can't find the exact play (I try not to watch that series too much), in OT in game 2, there was a dispute whether there should be a penalty or not for a delay of game (Puck out of play) - the face off wound up in the Rangers zone and I think Dustin Brown scored the winner??? If someone has a better recollection, I am not 100 percent sure.

If we come home tied 1-1 (erase the heart break of Game 1 which was an OT loss). Game 3 seemed to be the only game where the Rangers were over matched.

even when Montreal was running over Tampa I had no doubt they were going to lose. they're just outclassed right now.

I think the Islanders were the only real tough team for them, and it took them 7 games, and only scored one goal in that final game. Islanders could have taken that series. What I meant was this SCF is Tampa's to lose. They needed to go full throttle to beat the Isles, but they can half ass it now like last night, and still beat Montreal in this series.
