Going to be an interesting off-season.
For different reasons you have to assume that Nashville, Toronto, Edmonton and maybe Pits look to shake things up in some way or another. Plus the usual trading and a few more teams who'll feel they got kicked out of the 'real' playoffs earlier than expected.

The weird thing is pick 10 is almost as likely as pick 1. 11 is most likely. But still, awesome.

Yeah the same will hold for the 10 OA if CBJ holds on.

I think thats where we end up pre lottery. I have no faith in Minnesota but we really can't complain.

Taking Guhle at #10 on what would be the 10 year anniversary of the McIlrath pick (who also went #10) would be hilarious in the way that makes you want to punch an infant.

Not fair to compare the 2 as Guhle actually had a productive season and can really skate but with the talent that will be on board it's not really easy to defend that pick.

I know mocks are not much to go by, but I see Guhle on the board for our 2nd first round selection.

I think if Minn loses, then we have a 12.5% chance for 1st, 25% for 10th, and 62.5% for 11th.

If Minn wins both games, then we have 12.5% chance for 1st, 12.5% for 9th, and 75% chance for 10th.

And if that is the case hopefully we have a chance at Lafreniere, Rossi or Quinn/Lundell (I would take the former).
Feeling that either two of the smaller size guys will drop a bit (Perfetti/Rossi). Don't think the two Holtz/Raymond will fall.

I love all the crying about Crosby, Malkin, McDavid, Draisaitl and possibly Matthews and friends out already and how it's a huge loss for the NHL. If people want to watch stars they can watch the All Star game. Playoff runs are for actual well built and well coached teams not just a handful of top names and whatever you want to call the rest of the Oilers roster. Depth, defense, structure, mental toughness, strong goaltending--all missing to varying degrees among these teams getting knocked out prematurely.

What's the worst we can pick now?
Still 12th. Minnesota owns the 9th spot currently. Winnipeg will own the 10th slot. We slot in at 11 right now. IF it stays like that and say team 12-15 wins the lottery we will drop to 12th.

We need Minnesota to win vs vancouver then hopefully either us or Winnipeg to win the draft.

Just checked out the standings. MY BAD I believe worst would be 11th!

At least with the Leafs getting raked, we can count on this site working better the rest of the way.

Two things:

1) Someone rescue McDavid from that hellscape please.

2) Nick Foligno has absolutely abused Toronto this series. He just embarrassed Morgan Rielly on that goal.
