I had some troubles last few months with my heart and I was one step away from the same op and hardware . They did a Cathoder Ablation procedure on me and it has worked great so far knock on wood . Mind you I am still living with the widow maker artery 100 blocked[and unfixable since it was blocked for too long before it showed up as I never felt any pain only loss of wind ] and the other 3 arteries at 60-50-40 % blocked . I hope I am around for one more Cup at least .All AICD's have pacemaker function. The reason for this is that some people are bradycardic (slow heart rate) after a defibrillation. In addition most AICD are programmed to rapid pace (ATP, anti-tachycardia pacing) to terminate an arrhythmia prior to delivering a shock of 30-35 Joules.
If he were to to pass out/arrest from an abnormal heart rhythm he would not feel the shock. If he is alert with an abnormal rhythm, the shock will hurt a lot.
Not sure if we will ever get specifics but Jay most likely has cardiomyopathy or a channelopathy that predisposed him to a fatal arrhythmia.
Panthers too. If the Sens can somehow get it done against the leafs we're 3 for 3 today.Flyers lose

It's starting to become Ottawa-esque. Next thing you know they're gonna be dropping stuff on their fans from the rafters. This season is turning into a complete train wreck for San Jose.
The thing about all these prediction models is that I don't know if any of them factor in Shesterkin potentially starting the majority of the remaining games.
I mean the most likely scenario is they trade Kreider, maybe Fast, and the team gets worse and finishes the season in a top-10 draft spot. I wouldn’t worry too much.this puts us extremely high on the sadness meter...this year has been fun and i'm excited about alot of our players but that might be a worst case scenario outcome
Lol closet Avs fan.Kings and Avalanche with sweet Stadium series alternate jerseys...me likey!!
Worst case scenario outcome would be us not adding to our rebuild and getting a worse draft position.this puts us extremely high on the sadness meter...this year has been fun and i'm excited about alot of our players but that might be a worst case scenario outcome
I want the Habs to win. No way are they going to make the playoffs unless its via the Atlantic and a toronto/Florida collapse. I rather them not have a chance to get a top 3 pick againPanthers and Flyers both lost today.
Edit: ****, Habs just scored a minute into the game.
Meh their last top-3 picks were Galchenyuk and Kotkaniemi.I want the Habs to win. No way are they going to make the playoffs unless its via the Atlantic and a toronto/Florida collapse. I rather them not have a chance to get a top 3 pick again
Cap recapture may have a different name but it is still part of all buyouts where applicable.Correct.
FYI: This cap recapture penalty only applies to so-called "long term contracts", which are 6 yeras and longer, and were signed under the old CBA (2012 and before)
Lol closet Avs fan.
But everyone keeps telling me this is the best draft in the history of Hockey.Meh their last top-3 picks were Galchenyuk and Kotkaniemi.
Yep.I don’t remember all of the details but when Luongo retired, the Panthers preferred him to retire rather than go on LTIR. Less of a cap hit for the Panthers, more for a Canucks.
75% of all drafts on HFBoards are the best drafts since 2003, and the other 25% are the worst draft since 1999.But everyone keeps telling me this is the best draft in the history of Hockey.
Anyway, they blew a 3-0 lead and lost in overtime. Besides Suzuki and maybe Gallagher that teams stinks.
