Around the NHL - Part XLV (Playoffs edition)

I still have no idea what to make of Slavkovsky. He's a giant oaf with no standout abilities.
Yeah I'm not impressed with him. Caps have barely gotten over these two games. I can see Montreal tying this up at home

I used to love football. I barely care about it outside of the Giants now. Between the rules where hitting is outlawed and games seemed rigged, I'd rather watch the Premier League.

As for hockey, it isn't as good. Too many teams and too much focus on speed, speed, speed. I'd rather watch slower and skilled than fast and sloppy. All the speed does is make games get decided by lucky bounces and wacky deflections.
the only sport thats still pure is cricket imo

The NFL has become pretty unwatchable. I can only stomach Red Zone...when I try to watch one game, I'm bored to tears or angered by the rigged officiating. Gambling has made that sport so suspect.
I don't watch much before Thanksgiving. I still watch college games though. Even that's starting to annoy me too.

As for the NHL playoffs, I really don't like most of the teams in the East. I'm actually a Leafs fan for the playoffs. I feel dirty for pulling for the Devils against the Raleigh jerks.

The Canes aren't impressive either. They still struggle way too much to score goals.
Honestly if this same Ranger team actually gave a shit and played to their capabilities, they easily finish 2nd in the Metro.

If Hughes doesn't get injured, do the Devils finish ahead of Carolina?

Montreal will be good in a year or so, but they basically got hot just at the right time. Columbus is probably a better team, but just too inconsistent.

Anyone seeing this new AT&T commercial with the what a pro wants what a pro needs guys?

What's with the sound in this Colorado/Dallas game? It sounds weird. They have the crowd noise turned up you can barely hear the TV guys.

Really not sure why it doesn't get called but McDavid and his stick holding is pretty impressive lol.
I mean holding his opponents stick not his own.

How long before McDavid wants out?
He's only got one season left on this deal so it's kind of 'end of next season or never'.
Signing for what is most likely going to be more than $15m per and then having a sook isn't going to be a great look.
It would leave Drai up shit creek without a paddle though, so that would be funny
