couldn't care less. someone has to pick first and seeing as it won't be the rangers it doesn't really affect me

Yeah. The Flyers getting Seth Jones or the Devils getting MacKinnon to play with Kovalchuk for the next decade doesn't effect us. :sarcasm:

lol.

I'm assuming you didn't care that the Pens won the draft lottery in 2005 since they didn't affect the Rangers?

Yes, and so as long as the rangers keep getting good players and fielding competitive teams i don't care, that's my point here

But the Rangers aren't playing against themselves. There's other teams in the league. (In this case, division,) who also want to field competitive rosters.

Thank god, otherwise the hockey would be boring.... Teams in the rangers division have been fielding competitve squads for years, long may it continue.

Kershaw asked how upset people would be, I answered that I wouldn't be, it's not rocket surgery

Well, I don't want the Flyers getting a good defenseman without trading away key pieces from their team, for example. Nor do I want the Devils to actually have good offense by getting a great, cost-controlled player for Kovalchuk. ESPECIALLY when the Devils are forfeiting next year's pick, and both teams weren't nearly the worst teams in the league this season.

Bill Daly was a hardcore Rangers fan as a kid... watching NHL network now..

I'm sure I'll eat crow in the future for this one, but I think Jones is overrated. I was not impressed at all at the WJC. Yes, I understand he was only 17 in the tournament.

I'll be looking for a big improvement come January from him, if he's not in the NHL.
