I'm so worried his skating never will be the same, he was such a dynamic player and his skating as a big part of that. I honestly think he'd have a chance of beating Lidström's 7 Norrises if not for the injury, he dominated the play like no other (current) NHL player before his injury.

Karlsson was a generational talent, and I hope he still is.

That mustache though. Yikes.

Each time I post on that board, I immediately regret it. It's a breeding ground for some of the absolute worst posters we have on the forum.

Not going to lie, that was not a compliment towards Rangers fans. Lot of underrating by even our fanbase in that thread.

But I still completely agree with you in general regarding that board. I usually avoid polls/threads/proposals involving Rangers.

This stuff is annoying. All of the Staal brother stuff is annoying. Eric hoped Marc would take part in the warmup? Who the **** is Eric?

Said it months ago and people freaked out.

I'm fed up with articles with bland quotes from Eric saying "ya know its tough...and ya know...he's my brother so were hoping for the best".

Not to mention that's pretty much the extent of updates we've gotten on Staal in both of his ridiculously unfortunate injuries.

I would be really interesting if the seedings came down to Sunday, where Boston could essentially "choose" who they want to play against in the first round by playing Ottawa.

If all breaks right, if Boston could decide to play hard and try to beat the Sens, they play the Rangers. If they throw it and lose they play Ottawa, but that would mean they would be losing to a team they are about to play in a series against, and possibly give them confidence.

Obviously you never want to throw or tank a game to play a certain opponent, but thats always in the back of everyone's minds regardless of the effort put forth. That could be a really tricky spot for them - if indeed they would want to avoid the Rangers.

If you guys feel like giving yourself a lobotomy you should check out the "Drouin for Mcdonaugh" thread....

Looked at the first page. Enough was enough.

The Staal thread isn't much better. I saw the words "Serviceable top 4 defenseman" used to describe Marc Staal.

What's so wrong about it? Rangers fans overrate their team's own players so much, it's not even funny.

And people overrate prospects who haven't played a day in this league so much it's insane.

Defense, Goaltending, Strength down the middle wins championships, not wingers.

We may overrate our players (whose fans doesn't?!) but MacTruck is NOT of one them. He's still young and is already our #1 defense man.. Get real.

Agreed.

I've never seen such a dominant season by a defenseman in comparison with their peer players.

Karlsson played 6:43 in the first.

I though they were limiting him to PP specialist minutes?

what the **** **** is Bill Pidto on? Geez. A team just go elimiated and you're yelling **** in that manner.
