There's no reward for the team but if he is cleared to play there is not really much risk at this point given that if anything happens they don't have another game for four months.
Respectfully disagree. The more he can rest his brain the better. The less he risks it the better. Playing him now for no reason is a bad decision imo.

He's at a point where any next game could be his last. He's damaged and broken.

Sadly I agree about his health. Im worried that next hit could also cause after career issues. I would encourage him to work out a health related contract settlement. Hopefully he saved some money. He can stay close to the game in others ways.

It's up to the doctors. If they say he is good to play why would I think I know more than they do? I'm not a doctor nor am I with him every day,

I know (assume) it's a different time, but there are hundreds of past NHLers who shouldn't have listened to the doctors when it came to their concussions.

It is not that you know more than the doctors. The doctors aren't saying that he is safe from another reoccurrence or worse. They are just saying that his current symptoms are either gone or limited enough to the point that he can play. Concussions often snow ball. Most of us knew when he was traded that it sadly was only a matter of time before it happened again. Each time he has come back he was cleared by the doctors before doing so.

I assume the doctors tell these guys that they are more susceptible to a reoccurrence with each concussion. Even without the doctors saying so most players have to know. The doctors are not saying he will not have another concussion. They are just clearing him based on current symptoms receding.

So it's not going to be any worse now than it would be four months from now. Either way there is going to be risk that it happens again. If he's not having symptoms now, he's cleared to play, and he wants to play then there is nothing stopping him. It's his decision and clearly he wants to keep playing (whether or not that's tomorrow is a different story).

Montreal was like -239239239 5v5 this year.

They have no business being in a playoff spot and I will LOL at the experts that are all surprised Pikachu faced when they miss comfortably next year.

Columbus really should have gotten in. They're way better than the Habs were and would have given the Caps a run for their money with a legitimate shot at an upset.
