Slightly OT, but can you imagine being worth $11m per and shilling for this crap? (this came up when some guy on Twitter had a look into what ever the latest scam Russel Brand is pedaling was)

Is it normal that you would be able to name the team (rather than just have "Tavares, NHL player", but not wear the logo for promo stuff?

I think so. Saying his title or who he plays for is different than using a team's logo in an advertisement.

They retired his number and raised it to the rafters of Nationwide Arena

Panthers had Gaudreau's old Flames mates on the ice, they dropped the puck and let the game clock run for 13 seconds, stopped and then started play for real
