Richter doesn't deserve it? #1 in wins.
#19 should be in the rafters, yes. Ratelle absolutely deserves it. Greschner's #4 also deserves it.
But the REAL travesty is that there is nowhere near enough respect paid towards the original real greats.
Bill Cook, Fred Cook, Frank Boucher, Ivan Johnson, Ott Heller, Bryan Hextall.
Those guys should be in the rafters. Overlapping numbers should be shared.
Every one of those guys, with the exception of Hextall, won two Stanley Cups. Hextall won one, in 1940. One of them, Boucher, won three. Two as a player and one as GM/Coach.
And its not just the Cups, either. Those guys were greats in the NHL.
Cook is still in the top 10 in goals as a Ranger. He played his last game as a Ranger in 1937.
