The Leafs played a nice short passing game and made the Habs look pretty useless tonight. Beat them at every aspect of the game, which left Les Miserables (Habitants) with nothing to try but going the bully-boy route. That did not work either.

I hope the Rangers can beat take a page from the Leafs and stop making the Habs look like world beaters when they meet up on the 19th at MSG.

Canucks look like the best team in the league again like they were last year.

Don't know if this is the best place for it. But is there a stat that tracks 'passes to advantage" or anything similar? ie: how ofetn a player passes the puck to another players advantage regardless of whether the receiving player actually does anything with it or not.

In the same vein, is there one that tracks scoring chances that aren't capitalised on? Like if someone dekes out the goalie, passes to a player who has a wide open net, but that players wiffs on the shot

I'm looking at a facebook friend's of mine pictures at a Sharks game. Jeez, the shark tank looks absolutely stunning. Looks like a state of the art facility. Makes MSG look like a dump.

Amazing that it's now 20 years old. Great place to see a game. Nothing is quite like MSG though.

I think that HP Pavilion is nothing more than a spruced up Izod Center. Nice looking from the outside, nice entryway, separate area at ice level for club seat ticket holders but the rest is very similar to the last gen of arenas built. My avatar is a pic from right behind the bench at HP.

Well to be fair I only saw a few pictures. However, the garden just looks old. HP looked like it was built yesterday from those pictures. I mean I've only been to 2 arenas for games, one was the garden and one was CAA. So maybe something different made me overrate HP.

Pavel got right under that one. Nice finish.

Love watching him get wrecked and still be the first player back to try to break up the odd man rush.

Unphased by anything that happens in a game. He's an unreal talent. 6th round pick and you wonder how a guy like that falls so far, even in the late 90's.

At that point wasn't international scouting better than it was in the early 90s when a lot of Russians fell through the cracks?

Kings are playing beautiful hockey out there. I haven't seen the Rangers dominate a good team like that since forever.

Looks like we may get realignment next season.

And this is me just speculating, but I think we may see a two team expansion soon as well. Seattle and X.

I'm a little young to remember how an expansion draft would work, how many players would we be able to protect? I'd hate to lose someone like Del Zotto or Staal because we chose to protect McD and Girardi, for example.
