I saw that the Predators are 4-6. That game we lost to them was a stinker, huh? We lost two games we had absolutely no business losing ansd frankly we haven't had one game where we had no business winning. Even the Vancouver game was more or less equal.

That Hughes injury is literally the exact play I separated my shoulder in college. Was out for about a month.

Separations are worse than dislocations. Even worse is if there is ligament damage. Hope that isn’t the case for Jack.

Hate to see injuries to any player but sucks for the game when all of these stars start going down

A lot of the reactions I'm seeing on Twitter and even with friends for all these injuries (Fox, Hughes, Chytil) you'd think that a relative was really sick.

People are downright depressed rather than relieved if Fox is out for 4-5 weeks.

Hockey is a very fast and physical game, injuries will happen. That's why what Doug Jarvis, Keith Yandle, Phil Kessel, Andrew Cogliano, etc. did is so impressive.

They key is being healthy for a post season run unless you're record chasing like Ovechkin.

Going into the boards at that speed can be really bad depending on what hits first.

Don’t like the way his neck jerked on impact. It doesn’t take much to pop a disc there.
Yeah, more awkward than 'heavy'. The average actually grown, adult man NHL player I think walks away from that pretty easily tho IMO.

I never liked that way of thinking. Yes, I want the Rangers to win the cup but I also want to see us win as many games over the 82 as possible. A postseason could last 4 games.

Love seeing Edmonton lose. The odds of him coming to NY when his contract expires get better and better. The tears from fans around the league would be glorious and Canadian media would be forced to root for the Rangers. Imagine the wonderful chaos!
Edmonton will trade him for a king's ransom if it becomes obvious that he won't re-sign. There is no way they're letting him walk for nothing

Not happening, any of it. They look awful now but that wont last.

Will they eventually get on fire and string together a streak and a run that will get them to the playoffs? Yes, I would still say that's likely to happen.

Are they a contender, in the class of Vegas, Colorado and Dallas? Lol, no. I'd put Vancouver ahead of them at this point lol. They are not going anywhere this year either.

Was hoping Edmonton would win today. I want the Preds to have the worst record possible when the Rangers get to Nashville on Dec 2nd so secondary market tix are as cheap as possible.

Any news on Hughes? He was supposed to be reevaluated today.

Relegated or not, if they continue to be this bad I feel like they shouldn’t be eligible for the draft lottery. If you tank this horribly and blatantly the league should just give you pick #4 and say “next year, at least try icing a real roster”.
