And deservedly so if so. We can’t run away from the fact that Trouba is an often over the line throwback player that is hated around the league.
Strong disagree... Trouba is often an at the line throwback player.

Trouba seldom crosses the line.

Now whether or not you agree with where the NHL has drawn the line, is a different question.

It is not a fan’s job to be objective, but I promise you, if you were being objective, and Trouba was an Islander, you’d have a much different opinion.

I think its more a commentary on how at the time I posted that, it wasn't even a thread that existed on the MB (I'm not sure if it does now.)

The Howden hit is 10000% suspendible and way worse than anything Trouba has thrown during his time here aside from maybe the Khaira hit.

Lol that is marketing 101. Almost two decade of branding with certain name.
Good marketing and a good nickname are two seperate things.
It's great for Crosby if 'Sid the Kid' has made him $$ and kept his popularity, it's still a shit nickname.

The whole point of playing sports is to get a cool nickname. Well, that and all the women...(and I guess the winning, and testing yourself against the best etc if you really want to push it)
