Man Blackhawks starting where they finished last year with the pens.

My biggest takeaway from this game is how easy the Pens are going to be to play against.

I'll say it again - I think they got EK at a bargain but it was a bad move because of what was already there. I understand the thought process of trying to kick the can while Crosby and Malkin are still around but there needed to be other things that happened (sins of the predecessor and all.)

Giving the most minutes to the teenager that just wants to shoot the puck. Some things just makes sense.

I am sooo shocked karlson ended -2 today, soo shocked. Going to be a mess watching him try to share the puck and play defense on a team with playoff aspirations.

He's basically for the pens what Kane was to/for us. Too many old cooks in the kitchen. Sure he will get his points.

I'm not even sure. He prob hits 50, maybe 60 but his d is so bad is it even a net positive? And for that cap hit? People got blinded by point totals last year, he was awful and racked his points bc Quinn let him do whatever he wanted. It's not the same with a good team that has other elites that demand the puck as well. Won't be shocked if the pens miss playoffs again.

This has been my take on the Pens since the Karlsson deal was rumored.

I’m surrounded by Pens fans and they are all super optimistic and in love with Dubas. It must be nice to have good memories and belief in your team. I understand the logic behind the move but it’s only delaying the inevitable for them.
