I don't think i've ever seen that before. Guys have been hit when they've been down low, but i guess the stick must have been above the required height

Undeniably more dangerous than anyone on our roster in the first 15 minutes of his career. He will MAKE teams adjust to him every game. It’s crazy watching such night and day difference between assertive, speedy, play driving and whatever our guys do.

Bedard has that Jack Hughes in him where it’s exciting every time he has the puck.

The high sticking rule seems to be another that is written really poorly.
It starts with A “high stick” is one which is carried above the height of the
opponent’s shoulders
which presumably means you can push your stick into the face of a player lying on the ice and never get called unless you take a swing and get called for slashing instead.
And then is there also leeway if your stick is bounced off something else and goes high, as that wouldn't be 'carried'?
But even then, I don't think the Hawks player's head was below his shoulders, he was bent over and they were level at worst

Bedard moves his feet and controls the puck. He sees space, moves into space and uses space. He's got that shot of his of course. He's more of a classic center than what we have.

Laf does nothing of that. I still think he can be a decent player but he is brainless. He needs to play high energy (move his feet non-stop, be physical in a smart way) and be awake, alert and emotionally engaged and involved in the game. If he's not he's a ghost. Also Laffy does not make his line mates better by his style, he needs complimentary line mates to bring out the best in him. I'm hoping Lavi's system will help him out once he gets settled. If not it's bad.
