Gotta hand it to the Devils power play. NONE of their players are afraid to shoot the puck, no matter where they are on the ice.

As opposed to the Rangers pass pass pass looking for that ONE perfect lane.

I really really don't understand. This is some irrational take that people have. I'd understand if our PP was bad or middle of the pack but we're 2nd in the league. Fans just hate passing for the sake of hating passing. Why is everyone shooting wherever they are on the ice innately better than passing and looking for a perfect lane if the latter works just as well as the former?

I'd pay good money to watch @Machinehead and @SnowblindNYR call a game.

It won't be that much fun since I actually like @Machinehead.

When your power play has Fox and Panarin, passing has purpose. Bad shots end with easy clears. I don’t mind the passing. Hard to argue with the results.

The Devils don’t seem to take any bad PP shots, they are just 0.2 percentage points behind the Rangers on PP conversion.

I know that Dickinson contract news is a few days old now but I like how Chicago is just bullshiting the league into being a powerhouse again. I guess kudos on them because there's really nothing the league can do. About as obvious a form of tanking as you could imagine. Just about all their moves have been about being as crappy as possible while still hitting the cap floor. Those Perry and Folignos deals are still hilarious to me. Good for them. I didn't even notice that they extended Foligno on an even more ridiculous deal. The guy hasn't hit the 30 point mark in 3+ years, hasn't been a 50 point player in 6+ years . What other team would have payed this guy +4 million dollars a year. Purely a contract to hit the cap floor.

Bedard will be a franchise level talent. Already have some fantastic prospects in their system. They've got 4 first round picks and 5 second round picks at the moment between this and next year's draft. This is another strong draft, if the NHL doesn't hand them another 1st OA I'm curious if they go F or D... aside from Celebrini this draft is wide open
