I'd do Zib and Goodrow for Zegras and Vatrano just to get out of those contracts. I'd even throw in a couple of mid round picks if Anaheim insisted.

I’d do that although I rather go after McTavish lol. I would rather throw in Jones if they interested instead of picks. I’d take Max Jones as depth forward upgrade on 4th line with size and an edge. Rather not give up mid picks.

I can assure you the Ducks, who have the 4th worst record in the league, are not interested in trading 22 year olds for 30 year olds.

I enjoyed the days of score board watching when we were a wildcard team. Wouldn't want to be a wild card team this season though, every team is in it.

Flyers are a well coached team. They skate, are physical (even though they're not a big team) and defend really well! Poor man's version of the Canes

Team's that commit to defending the middle of the ice can go far regardless of talent. Look no further than the Rangers. We were allergic to losing to start the season, now we look horrible because the defensive commitment is gone.

Agreed! The Flyers on paper have very limited talent compared to the Rangers, but they don't give up much and limit grade A chances against. When you do that and have a top goalie, your chances of winning are pretty good.

Derek Stepan missed one game after Prust broke his jaw
In the playoffs right? I’m pretty certain Bedard wanted to play, especially with his homecoming game next week that he’s been waiting his entire life for and probably had hundreds of family & friends going to, and fans paying $2000 for tickets lol. The Hawks are probably being overly cautious to protect their top pick and also to tank so they don’t mind everyone being out with injuries

Bedard is a freak but what is the big deal here?

You don’t need your jaw to skate around lightly by yourself on the ice.
The big deal is he just had surgery 1 week prior, you’re not even supposed to do gentle exercise like walking on a treadmill for 2 weeks, cardio in 4-6 weeks. Skating and taking shots would certainly elevate the heart rate past that gentle exercise/walking tier. Cmon if this was Laf or Kakko people would be saying how much of a warrior they are lol

Not at all lol.

Also don’t know where you pulled those numbers from. Stepan broke his jaw in the playoffs and was playing the same week.

He didn’t have surgery did he? He probably put off surgery until after the playoffs concluded, there’s a big difference between playing through injury in the playoffs and playing through injury on a team who’s tanking with all of their “best” players Hall, Jones, etc already on IR lol. I bet Bedard wanted to play and they wouldn’t let him

He had his jaw wired shut.

Trust me, being on the ice a week later is no big deal. He’s basically just gliding out there and that shot would only be considered a rocket if it came off of your stick.

If you want to respect the commitment that’s fine but nothing that he’s doing is physically extraordinary.
