I don't think Strome was trying to go knee on knee with Connor.

It happened and Im surprised that he got off with out any discipline at all but I don't think there was any intent on his part. He's a lot of things but a dirty player isn't one of them. He should have gotten a game or 2, the Jets were right to be pissed but that isn't a cheap shot. Good for him on answering the bell, we know not everyone will do that (Aho.)

I doubt it was intentional, but it happened which is why I labeled it a "bit of a cheap shot". Things happen in real time & I'm sure Strome feels bad about the play after reflecting on it.

Also, Strome always answers the bell. He's not a tough guy, but he's not shy when challenged.

Frankly I wish he was a better player, as I loved his character & his intellect. However, the type of game he plays simply doesn't translate to winning in the playoffs. There's no doubt in my mind that he becomes a coach when he's done playing, however.

Following up a battle of 3rd string goalies vs 3rd string goalie with Connor vs Connor
