Sabres are the NY Jets of hockey.

They had a couple sexy names at sexy positions but they go into the season without shoring up their offensive line (goaltending/defense) and guess what they still suck. And maybe their weapons were overrated to begin with.

Sabres haven’t found a way to pull it all together as a complete team. Sometimes that’s what “retread” coaches are good for…getting a young team to learn the fundamentals of playing a team game at the NHL level, even if those coaches might not get you over the top.
I am kinda meh on the idea of bringing in an unproven coach to try to get a young team to turn into a playoff team
