I personally hope LA gets destroyed. They are one of my most hated teams, next to the Devils of course, lol.
Nah, f*** all the Canadian teams, especially Edmonton and Toronto. Nothing would please me more than seeing Tampa and LA drop them FAST.

The good thing about the Isles vs Carolina is the 2 most boring teams are facing each other so only 1 will advance.

Will be watching the Boston/Florida game tonight, then the Oilers/Kings game. That Carolina series will put people with Insomnia to sleep.

I’m still annoyed the Tampa/Toronto games are on the same time as the Rangers. That should be a good series also.

NHL failed here.

Two biggest markets on at the same time, instead of having them lead their individual days.

Women's IIHF Gold Medal Game absolutely slapped last night.

And before anybody starts in, "no hitting" is enforced like jaywalking.

If Florida's goaltending can hold up I unironically think they have a legitimate shot to beat Boston.

I'm sure the NHL looked at having Boston and the Rangers on separate nights as being the priority but I agree. Tampa Toronto was going to be my number one series (non-Rangers) to watch this round and now I can't even watch it.

For salary cap implications, we need:

Rangers to Win
Leafs to Win
Boston to Win
Los Angeles to win
Islanders to win
Minnesota to win
Vegas to win
Colorado to win

Are we rooting for the Islanders to win? Team bears a lot of similarities to the NYR teams from 2008-2011. Non-playoff roster boosted to playoff status by elite goaltending.

Yes, because if Svechnikov comes back from injury, the Canes are just even more lethal.

Canes will be harder to beat than the Islanders should the Rangers make the second round.

Svechnikov isn't coming back this year even if he was injected with some superhero healing chemicals from outer space. He tore his ACL and even when he comes back next year there is no guarantee he will have the same explosiveness even if he is young.

Carolina might be harder to beat on paper but the hatred in that rivalry matters. The icelanders could easily give us a harder time because of it.
