The only adjustments they will make are goalie changes and trapping more. Will be a big mistake if the Devils turn this in to a track meet. Their horrible defense is masked by hitting on stretch passes now and then, but as a group they are slow and soft against a good forecheck.

Just like last series, the Devils will adjust. Carolina isn't going to win this series handily.

Too easy for NJD to neutralize the Rangers zone entries.

I think NJD needs to make the reads for their defense super easy and quick. Don't allow CAR to forecheck and force your defense into mistakes. It just looks like a slog most of the time tonight for NJD to transition to offense (but the moments when it isn't a slog, they seem to get their best chances). Good way to minimize the effects of their speed.

Why do people always bring up Pacioretty as if it's some significant loss? I swear you're the 20th person I've seen claim they're riddled with injuries partially because they're missing him, they never had him lol. He's only played 5 games for the Canes, Vegas literally paid them to take him. Vegas sent my drunk uncles friends nephew along with him in exchange for future considerations lol
