Well he traded the average player in Tyutin for a high octane scoring winger in Zherdev, we all know how that turned out.

Well first of all Tyutin wasn't an average player. He was a steady D-man for the most part, who had some bad stretches (like Girardi and Staal). Second, you know what? It didn't work out but at least he took a shot at it. If Zherdev ended up a stud forward he would likely be more important than another D-man. We have enough D-men. We should be able to improve on Bickel for the 6th and we should be fine. If we had forward depth and quality and the dearth in D-men unlike vice versa as we have, this move would be a lot less painful. A LOT. It would still be painful but understandable. Now it's painful and mind boggling. Disgraceful.

Looks Tarasenko scored again. I'm so glad out ball-less GM decided to go with McIlrath.

epic fail

mcilrath vs tarasenko wont even be close. such a joke.

terrible for this organization that struggles to score goals and has to import its best goal scorers to pass on a guy with that kinda skill.

this young russian was there on a platter for us and yet we choose a fighter with questionable hockey sense but so called "enormous upside"

unforgiveable.

what what a move by Damian Brunner.... the rookie wins it.. undrafted and signed as a UFA.... its a shame that Zuccarello didnt work out here. i hope they trade him instead of losing him for nothing..
