The officials who worked the last San Jose game won't be working anymore this playoff season. That's all 4 not just the refs. The Sharks have now eliminated the Golden Knights, Avalanche, 4 referees and two linesmen.

The NHL needs to make changes to the rule book and address officiating failures with additional training.

The D corps for the Bruins is not one I'd expect out of a SC contender.

John Moore has now found a way to be a 23d pairing guy on two contending teams. 23 minutes for Carlo.

To be honest, their whole team on paper doesn’t do it for me as a contender.

Their first line is amazing, but I feel their forward group falls off quite a bit after that. Agreed on their D - don’t think it’s special.

They’re basically the exact opposite of the Rangers of the past few years. They bring it every night and exceed expectations regularly.

Someone please beat Boston.

Preach my brother. Not sure I'm going to be able to take the city of Boston having their 13th friggen parade in past 18 years if the Bruins win the Cup especially since I've only been to TWO stinken parades in the 45 years I became a true sports fan and understood what was going on back in the early 70's('86 Mets and obviously '94 Rangers).

So yes that means I'm a Rangers, Knicks, Mets and Jets fan and so nothing but misery and frustration for most part for me while Boston fans celebrate titles pretty much every couple of years. Heck if B's win, they'll have won 3 titles in the 4 major sports THIS YEAR...it's f***ing ridiculous.

If I seem salty, bitter and envious of that arrogant fan base in that city, you'd be correct!!....

New York needs to win more lose less.

Besides the Yankees, the franchises of the state don't seem to look a that motto since we had to start prepping for World War 1.

If I'm the Blues I'm going to go buck wild tonight. Hook, grab, impede, trip, take out the goalie - Do whatever you want. They are going to get every call tonight.

We hear people refer to "makeup calls" all the time when watching NHL games. Travis Yost wrote an article about it. Shows that refs can be more interested in making the calls look fair and even rather than just making the right calls regardless of how many penalties either team has taken up to that point.

Combine this with Lopez’s research, which shows that teams called for multiple infractions in a row are much more likely than not to draw a penalty in the future, and you can certainly conclude that ‘game management’ is at the heart of everything officiating teams work for. The only conclusion left is that the evening up of all penalty calls is the goal of officiating teams, and that’s a problem.

Seems like something a lot of us have suspected for a while. Shameful really.

I hate Boston teams but I have to cheer for them over the Sharts. I want the Blues to win because of their history, then Boston, then the Sharts. I don’t want to see Mr. Compiler Thornton win the Cup ala Ray Bourque. Plus my brother-in-law is one of those obnoxious “this is our year” people. He’s been saying it for 20 years. He’s also an Orioles fan who resorts to “we’re gonna be good in a few years with our prospects” banter.

On a side note I hope Justin Williams’ reputation took a hit these playoffs. I’m sick and tired of how he’s a “big game player” and “clutch” and how he’s a leader. Look at the Boston series, he was terrible and embarrassed himself. Some leader, some clutch performer. The truth is he was an average middle six forward in his prime, that’s it. Nothing special. And yet he’s made out to be like a folk hero.

How does this year's Boston team compare with last year's Boston with Nash?
