Not sure where to put this but I’ll drop it here...heard that Coyotes are quietly letting teams know that Derek Stepan is available. Limited payroll biting back...Coyotes have already committed more $ than they spent this year.
I'm guessing this would be a yes but is Stepan amenable to a move? Will the Coyotes need to retain any money or take a contract back you think?

He apparently has no NTC protection. I heard this from a team he was apparently shopped to. They could retain some money but I think his actual payout is less than his cap hit.

I thought Arizona had chosen to honor the NTC when they acquired him, but apparently I had that backwards. Cap Friendly confirms that Arizona used the option to void the NTC when they acquired him.

I'm from NY originally and never got the hate for Boston, probably because I hate baseball and don't GAS about the Red Sox.

I really have no issue with Boston or the fans. Think they are cool and one of my good friends is from Boston and is a big Bruins fan we go to games when the Bruins are in town against the Rangers at MSG. Also have a friend who is a big Penguins fan. So it just makes it more fun and no one tries anything when they are wearing their opposing jerseys with me at the garden.

I kinda lost interest in the finals but have a lot of real life stuff going on so have been distracted.

I think the rival thing is fun and needed for this sport and it’s cool to poke fun but some people go too far. Can tell you horror stories from going to games. I’m sure you’ve read about them also.

Reactions: Wicked Backhand
This is a goal you can't give up in the Stanley Cup Final... not right after your team has just tied the game. And the turnover leading to it?

Brutal.

Blues have looked better, that's for sure, but if they come out of this period 2-2 on the road playing like this then that's winning the first period IMHO.

That entire Tarasenko goal sequence was just beautiful. From start to finish even with the over commitment from Marchand. Amazing how he put on the brakes to reach and put the puck in after his initial shot was stopped.

I agree. Blues look like they don’t belong here.
They have had their moments but it is obvious they need 6 Parayko's back there. Missing Dunn hurts a ton. They need some more speed on the d side.

Man hockey is such a fast sport. Split second and Grzelcyk's head against the glass.

Stupid hockey at the end of the period there by Sundquist. Would have been a back breaker if the Bruins scored there.
